At the Movies, the entertaining, discourse-rich, movie review show hosted by Roger Ebert and the late Gene Siskel (watch their 1986 review of Jim Jarmusch's 'Down by Law') had fallen into a total crap hole.
First, ABC dumped Richard Roeper (who took over the Siskel slot after his passing, and then became primary host when Ebert's bout with cancer caused him to leave the show).
Then, ABC completely re-booted the show as a brain-dead amateur hour with Ben Mankiewicz (from Turner Classic Movies) and Ben Lyons (don't know, don't care, send him back). It was unwatchable.
Happily, the show is back in a big way, with The New York Time's film critic, AO Scott, and Chicago Tribune film critic, Michael Phillips, at the helm. They are good. Watch it.
Riddle me this; if Scott is to Phillips as Siskel was to Ebert, as to who would Steve Jobs be to Anna Wintour?
